How Is Your Heart
"Dr. Blockheart's Family Practice," a play that can change how patients handle visiting a family medical practice, will be presented on Thursday, November 14, at 5:30 p.m. in Dillard Auditorium in the Anderson Conference Center on the campus of Winston-Salem State University.
Sponsored by WSSU's Center for Excellence in the Elimination of Heath Disparities and other organizations, the event will also include a health panel discussion and an opportunity to hear about heart attack symptoms, risk factors and preventive measures, as well as a chance to practice administering CPR. The event is free and open to the community by registering at 336-750-2050.
Presented as part of the "How Is Your Heart Project," the play and discussion are being held in honor of Dr. Sylvia A. Flack, executive director of the Center. There will be an opportunity to join the cast for refreshments at 5:30 prior to the program.
Other organizations joining with the Center to make this program possible include WSSU, Wake Forest Baptist Health, the How Is Your Heart Project, Neighbors for a Better Neighborhood, Gramercy Research Group and My Life Check from the American Heart and American Stroke Associations.
