WSSU TALIAS Announces Series of Free Legal Advice Events: "Breaking the Silence-Domestic Violence"
Time: 6 pm - 7:30 pm
Summary: A free videoconferencing series which allows people to access legal experts in a wide range of practices.
WSSU has a free and exciting opportunity for North Carolina Residents. TALIAS (Technology Assisted Legal Instruction and Services) is a live, interactive, videoconference series which originates at the North Carolina Central University School of Law and broadcast to its participating hosted sites, Winston-Salem State University, Fayetteville State University, Elizabeth City State University and North Carolina A&T State University.
TALIAS WSSU is located at the Enterprise Center (former Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club at 1922 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive). The videoconferencing series provides a communication forum, which allows people to access experts skilled in various practiced areas.
These volunteer attorneys hold free workshops for low-income North Carolina residents through NCCU School of LAW and broadcast live to TALIAS WSSU. Participants in the workshops may ask questions through the TALIAS videoconferencing system. TALIAS saves citizens the time and cost of commuting to attend meetings and workshops in person. The goal is to provide a convenient communication method for low-income North Carolina residents that need legal advice.
