New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber will speak at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 6th, in room 228 of the Hall-Patterson Building for a presentation that will be free and open to the public.

Weber will be in Winston-Salem for the BookMarks Festival of Books and Authors on September 7.  His WSSU presentation is sponsored by the university's department of English and BookMarks.

Weber is a New York Times and #1 Essence® bestselling novelist of more than a dozen novels and short stories.  A lifelong reader, Weber wanted to write stories about ordinary people who have crazy things happening in their lives. When he is not on book tours or connecting with readers at his two bookstore chains, Urban Knowledge and Beach Reads, Weber scouts for new talent for his publishing company, Urban Books. Weber graduated from Virginia State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has an MBA in marketing from the University of Virginia. His newest book is The Man in 3b.
