WSSU Foundation Hosts Passport Day on March 10 with Free and Discounted Photos
February 29, 2012Passport photos will be $5, with the first ten people getting free photos, when the Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) Foundation’s passport acceptance office celebrates National Passport Day, March 10 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the campus of WSSU.
WSSU is joining the U.S. Department of State in a outreach event to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications. The WSSU Passport Office is located in the S.G. Atkins House and free parking is available.
U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air. U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government.
Information on the cost and how to apply for a U.S. passport is available at travel.state.gov <http://www.travel.state.gov> . U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778.
