Synchronous Online Learning
Facilitator: Dr. Yolanda Edwards (Bio)
Date: March 1, 2013
Description: In this session, participants will review synchronous online learning strategies for engaging students in online or outside of classroom for face-to-face courses. One of the biggest challenges for online teaching involves creating opportunities for participation and collaboration. Yet, opportunities for meaningful interaction online are plentiful, provided you design and facilitate your course with the appropriate tools. The session will provide examples of the available tools such as Blackboard Collaborate in online lectures, online group activities, and videos to spark online discussions.
