NEH India Symposium

Integrating India into the Liberal Arts:
An Interdisciplinary Symposium

Friday, September 19, 2014
Main Dining Hall, Anderson Center,
Winston-Salem State University

The symposium will feature curriculum outcomes from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) HBCU Initiatives faculty development seminar at WSSU. Since 2012, twelve WSSU faculty members representing various disciplines have been engaged in the study of themes and issues related to teaching and learning about India. Seminar participants have learned about Indian history, culture, politics, economy, and society, with the goal of enhancing the global dimension and liberal arts foundation of the WSSU curriculum.

We are excited to have you join us to share ideas and best practices, and to generate discussion on curriculum internationalization based on your own academic experiences, perspectives and interests. We look forward to learning from each other in the spirit of collaborative, informative, and constructive dialogue.
