The Online Writing Center
The Writing Center, housed in University College and Lifelong Learning (UCaLL), now has a new online presence. The Online Writing Center (OWC) uses Blackboard Collaborate to consult with students in real time.
What is Blackboard Collaborate?
Blackboard Collaborate is a world-class, real-time training, demonstration and collaboration environment that is powerful, flexible, and easy to use. Blackboard Collaborate enables the delivery of live online learning, training, coaching, mentoring, and meeting. Effectiveness is increased by engaging participants with the ability to talk over the Internet (with full, 2-way audio); exchange text messages; display live video; and share whiteboards, multimedia files, and applications—all in one intuitive, graphical interface.
Contact one of the OWC faculty for assistance with your paper at least 48 hours before your paper is due:
- Ms. Marissa Terry (336-750-8748)
- Ms. Colleen Ripley (336-750-8748)
The faculty you selected will contact you via email within 24 hours to set up an appointment. If you do not receive a response as indicated, please follow up with a phone call. When you and the faculty have agreed meeting time, the faculty will email you a session link. On your appointment day, log in at least five minutes before your session begins.
