Welcome to the WINGS Network (With Information and Guidance to Soar) of services at WSSU in the office of Nontraditional Adult Student Services. WSSU is committed to the success of our military and veteran students. Additional WSSU information targeted to veterans, active duty military, and dependents can be found under Featured Links. You may be eligible for Federal Veterans Education Benefits if you served in the U.S. Armed Forces on active duty, or if you are the dependent of a veteran whose death was service- related, or if you are the dependent of a veteran whose 100% disability is service related. You may learn more about the U.S. Armed Forces Veterans Benefits at their website.

Programs and Opportunities
The Division of Lifelong Learning provides opportunities for students to enhance their learning and educational experience through:

- Traditional Learning - face-to-face programs
Synchronous and asynchronous technology is available with faculty-led classes through the utilization of:
- Remote sites
- Videotape and teleconferences
- Cable television
- Internet & interactive telecommunications

Troops To Teachers
WSSU is honored to support the Troops-to-Teachers program and participates in the program as an education provider. Troops-to-Teachers (TTT) was established in 1994 as a Department of Defense program to:
- assist and encourage military personnel to transition to second careers as teachers in K-12 public schools,
- address teacher shortages in math, science, special education, vocational/technical subjects, and
- support the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
Currently WSSU offers a lateral-entry program in Physical Education.
