Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA+)
What is the assessment? CLA+ measures analytic reasoning, problem solving, critical thinking and written communication skills among others. The CLA+ can take up to 90 minutes, and it is completed online in a proctored setting. To learn more, visit the CLA website.
Who can complete the assessment? A list of eligible students is compiled by IAR each semester and posted on the website. For spring 2016, eligible students were seniors with fewer than 30 transfer hours and 90 or more credit hours who also have SAT/ACT scores on file.
When is the assessment offered? The CLA+ is administered to eligible Freshmen in the fall and eligible Seniors every spring. Eligible students are notified by email. Any assistance faculty can provide in recruiting students is greatly appreciated!
