Chancellor's Statement on Harassment
The Winston-Salem State Community is committed to promoting and supporting an environment in which everyone can work and learn together free of all forms of harassment, exploitation, or intimidation. Because North Carolina Law holds employers and employees personally responsible for complying with the proscription against harassment, the University has developed interactive education and training programs to make faculty and staff aware of their responsibilities with regard to harassment prevention.
I urge you to complete these brief but comprehensive training programs. Please know that by participating in these programs you have taken the appropriate steps to become knowledgeable on this issue and will possess an understanding of how to respond appropriately to situations that may arise.
If you have any questions or comments about WSSU's harassment policy, or if you would like more information regarding the identification or prevention of harassment, please contact our Human Resources Department at (336) 750-2830 or the Office for Equal Opportunity and Diversity at (336) 750-2175.
