Human Resources Vision & Value Statement
WSSU Human Resources supports the University's strategic goal of providing efficient and effective systems, serving as steward of its physical, financial and human resources, and continuously improving its processes, procedures, and organizational structure.
We will do that by developing and maintaining efficient and effective human resources systems and processes that serve our customers and contribute to an administrative structure that consistently reflects the best strategies in higher education administration.

What's New in Human Resources
We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest workflow, Employee Separation, using Banner Workflow. Banner Workflow (Workflow) is a business process automation tool that simplifies, directs, and, manages the flow of information/tasks throughout the organization.
The Office of Human Resources is excited about this change as we believe it will better serve hiring managers and departments. As a chair or hiring manager/supervisors, you will be able to initiate the employee separation process online. Upon submitting the required information, a series of automated processes will notify you, HR, the corresponding clearance departments and security offices of the employee’s separation.
With the launch of the employee separation we will be able to:
- Improve Communications between all Administrative Offices
- Improve Coordination of Data Entry within the HR Office
- Improved Accuracy of Benefit Reporting
- Enhance Compliance of Security Policies
