Our team works to develop relationships with the media to garner interest in telling the Winston-Salem State University story. We follow national news trends and proactively position faculty and staff as experts for both local and national media. We work with departments across campus to develop strategies to communicate Winston-Salem State University’s successes, highlight its programs, and demonstrate the impact it has on the community. By creating accurate, timely and authentic communications, we inspire engagement, foster community and build awareness for WSSU’s distinctive vision and value.

Integrated Marketing and Communications is eager to hear your story ideas. We will pitch stories that are most likely to generate media interest. The News Release Idea form allows you to share with IMC staff the details of a research project or other positive, newsworthy stories.
Give someone Kudos! The Winston-Salem State University Office of Integrated Marketing Communications distributes the Kudos Report monthly as a platform for the university to celebrate and promote the many achievements, successes and contributions of our campus community.
