Check with your academic advisor/department chairperson to verify that all graduation requirements have been met except the final grades for the course(s) for which you are currently enrolled.

Order your Academic Regalia and/or Announcements on-line at: Herff Jones

You can have your orders shipped to the bookstore or to your home. If you prefer to pick up your order at the bookstore, the last date to order is March 31, 2013. If you prefer to have your order shipped to your home, the last date to order is April 28, 2013. Shipments to your home carry a shipping charge of $7.50. 

April 15, 2013 

ONLINE TICKET REGISTRATION begins to reserve complimentary guest tickets for the Commencement ceremony. Read the message from the Provost.

FOR TEACHING MAJORS ONLY
After completing all certification requirements, education majors must clear with the licensure officer, Mrs. Tarsha Damon, G19-E Anderson Center.  Please call (336) 750-2869 for an appointment.

FINANCIAL CLEARANCE
The Graduation Fee of $50.00 is automatically charged to your student account by the Office of the Registrar.  Please clear with Student Accounts, 200 Thompson Center by 4PM on Friday, May 10, 2013, to make sure you have no outstanding charges to your student account. Students can start paying this fee immediately. Also, check with Campus Police and the Library to clear any outstanding fines or debts. Failure to do so may result in charges on your student account for which you will be responsible to pay. Please note, account balances can also be paid online at Student Account Suite.

LOAN EXIT COUNSELING
Seniors who received Federal Direct Student Loans will need to complete exit counseling online at StudentLoans.govLoan Exit Counseling is mandatory. The entire loan counseling session will probably take about an hour. This website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We encourage you to start this process now. If you have questions regarding repayment or loan forbearance, please contact the Department of Education at 1-800-433-3243.

Register online with the Winston-Salem State University Alumni Relations Office. Click on Graduation Registration Form under Quick Links to register.  You must clear with the Alumni Relations Office.  For further information, contact Mrs. Catherine Snipes at (336) 750-3491 or snipesc@wssu.edu.

COMPLETE SENIOR SURVEY (UNDERGRADUATES ONLY)
As a graduating senior attending WSSU, a UNC system institution, you are required to complete the Graduating Senior Survey before you graduate.  Your responses will help us better understand your experiences at WSSU.  Graduating seniors on all 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina are participating in this survey.  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at Graduation Survey.

Completion of this survey is a requirement of your graduation.  If you do not complete the survey in advance, you will be retained during your commencement rehearsal for completion of the survey.

Mandatory Commencement Rehearsal will be held at the LJVM Coliseum on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  (Plan to arrive by 11:30 AM). Candidates should arrive for rehearsal no later than 12:00 PM.
