Campus Tour
“I didn’t know about that!” We have been hearing this phrase uttered by community leaders when they find out about the exciting things that are happening at Winston-Salem State University.
We are celebrating our 120th anniversary by broadening the horizons of our students and faculty, transforming the landscape of our campus and improving the quality of life in the community.
We invite you to witness these changes firsthand.
Please plan to join us on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 8:30-11:00 am or 2:00-4:30 pm for a campus tour of:
The Enterprise Center: This one-of-kind business incubator and learning center supports economic growth opportunities, enhances community health, and provides experiential learning opportunities. We will tour the virtual hospital and stimulation laboratory, the TALLIAS Center which provides legal guidance to low-income citizens and Simon’s Green Acre community garden.
The Biomedical Research Infrastructure Center (BRIC): Research taking place at the BRIC is generating new knowledge about preventing diabetes and hypertension. The BRIC also encourages researchers to address issues of health disparities and to prepare to serve minority communities in their future careers.
The WSSU Campus: The campus is changing on a daily basis with the Student Activities Center nearing completion and the groundbreakings for the Student Success Center and the new dormitory on the horizon.
The Campus Tour will begin at 8:30 am for the first session and 2:00 pm for the second session at the Anderson Conference Center. We know your time is valuable and commit to making this an informative, interesting and, we hope, meaningful investment of your time.
