Ray Health Building · Rm 155 · 750-3274 · philadelphiawa@wssu.edu Dr. Anthony Philadelphia is a Licensed Professional Counselor, serving as the Interim Director of the Wellness Center (Student Health Center\Counseling). He hails from Guyana in South America. He is an adjunct professor in graduate and undergraduate programs. He received his Ph.D. from Auburn University. He is a former US Air Force member. He focuses on the integration of the person's mental, physical, and spiritual health to enhance functioning. Serving over 20 years in the mental health and health fields has given him the perspective that we have to care for one another, irrespective of each other's differences. He enjoys family time, tinkering with old vehicles and riding motorcycles. |

Ray Health Building · Rm 155 · 750-3273 · pittmant@wssu.edu Tim Pittman is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor serving in the Wellness Center's counseling services. He has worked at WSSU for 7 years. His primary focus is functioning as the university's Case Manager and as the counseling services' Assistant Director. He has over 18 years' experience in psychiatric and mental health services. He is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and North Carolina A & T State University. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and the North Carolina Counseling Association. He serves on The Forsyth County Drug and Alcohol Coalition. His professional interests are mental health, alcohol and drug, personal growth, academic counseling, crisis intervention and stress management. |

She joined WSSU in 2012. She is a graduate of Meredith College, where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology, and UNCG, where she completed her M.S. in Counseling. Ms. Miller professional interests include: trauma/abuse; drug and alcohol use, abuse, and dependence; mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation training; human growth and development; LGBTQ issues; and overall wellness. She enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. |

She joined WSSU in 2012. She has over 10 years' experience in providing family centered, medical and mental health social work services within the local area. She is a graduate of Bennett College where she obtained her BSW and the University of South Carolina in Columbia where she earned her MSW. Her professional interests include therapy with individuals, groups and families, anger management, mood disorders and life coping skills. She enjoys making Target trips during her lunch break. |
| Student Health Staff
The medical staff consists of board-certified Family Nurse Practitioners and professional Registered Nurses. The medical staff evaluates, treats, and manages acute and chronic medical problems with a focus on illness prevention, health maintenance and optimum health. The support staff consists of a processing assistant/receptionist, student volunteers, peer health educators and community health liaisons. |

Ilesanmi, BA, BSN, MSN, FNP-BC, joined the WSSU Wellness Center's health services in early 2007 and serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner and the health services' Assistant Director. Previous to joining the Wellness Center, she worked as an RN and FNP in a wide range of professional and clinical settings, teaching and nursing in both hospitals and private practice. She is a proud double alumna of WSSU. Go RAMS! Outside of professional life, she enjoys exercising, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her philosophy of life is: 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. |

He has over 30 years' experience in Nursing; including 18 years of cardiovascular clinical nursing, cardiac clinician, cardiovascular case management, telephonic Nursing covering the state of NC and Georgia, and telephone triage covering Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Home Health. A graduate of WSSU's Nursing program in 1982, Michael returns to give back to his alma mater. He loves his wife, son and daughter and is an avid roller coaster enthusiast! |

Her experience is enhanced by the education she received at North Carolina Central University, receiving a BS in Biology, and Winston Salem State University, receiving a BS and MS in Nursing. Ms. McNair joined the staff of the Health Center in April 2012. Her belief is, as quoted by George Washington Carver: "How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong, because some day in life you will have been all of these". |

Her philosophy of life is to LAUGH often, LOVE all, and LIVE a good life today because tomorrow is not promised! Her Golden Rule is to treat others the way that she wants to be treated!! |

In addition to her responsibilities as a nurse, she serves as Campus Advisor for Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority. |

She enjoys working in the student environment, having worked in hospitals previously. She attended Gardner-Webb University and Forsyth Technical Community College. She is hospice and orthopedic certified. She enjoys gardening and her philosophy of life is: "Don't let others dictate your life, you know, you pick and you choose, win or lose or draw, it was your choice." |

Letecia Helleby, MD
Dr. Leticia Helleby serves as a medical doctor in the Wellness Center's health services. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She received her undergraduate degree at Fordham University. After her undergraduate education she worked at Columbia University as a researcher in molecular genetics. She later decided to pursue a career in medicine and received her medical degree at the Health Science Center at Brooklyn. After medical school, she moved to Winston Salem, NC to complete her residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Her special interests include disparities in health care as well as the obesity epidemic. She also currently directs a community obesity clinic she founded in 2011 which focuses on providing services for children and young adults. |

She originates from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Ms. Adams has over 20 year of experience as a budget manager, and site administrator in the corporate sector. She attended Middlesex Community College in Edison, New Jersey and is currently taking classes in Accounting. A single mother of 2 boys, Ms. Adams enjoys traveling, horseback riding, sports and the wonders of God. Her motto is to "live one day at a time, with a cup of coffee and a smile (and maybe some chocolate)", and to take her vitamins. |

Beverly Greenwood serves as an Administrative Specialist within the Wellness Center's health services. She joined WSSU 4 ½ Years ago. She is proud to have coordinated the Health Center's first application to the accrediting agency, the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, INC, (AAAHC) which resulted in the Center being accredited in November 2008. She finds time to enjoy her 2 grandsons and also enjoys going to the YWCA to walk the track and swim. |

Carmen D. Jackson, BA/CS, MBA/Management A.H. Ray Health Building · Rm 244A · 750-2993 · jacksoncd@wssu.edu Carmen Jackson serves as an Accounting Technician in the Wellness Center's health services. She joined the Center July of 2011. In her role she coordinates student insurance claims and reimbursements. Her education includes a BA degree in Business Administration from Winston Salem State University, a Master's degree in Business Administration/Management from Strayer University and is currently enrolled in the Master of Education program at Strayer. A distinguishing characteristic that Carmen has is her laughter. She believes that things happen for a reason, and she likes to find the good in every situation. |
