NC-MSEN 2011 Summer Scholars Pre-College Program
The North Carolina Mathematics and Science Education Network (NC-MSEN) Pre-College Program is a year-round mathematics and science enrichment program for underserved students in grades 6 – 12. The program’s mission is to prepare students for entrance to a four-year college/university and careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and teaching (STEM).
The Summer Scholars Program is one component of the NC-MSEN Pre-College Program and is designed to provide mathematics and science enrichment to its students with a primary goal to prepare students for their 2011-12 mathematics and science classes. Students must be rising 6th -12th graders in order to participate.
The NC-MSEN 2011 Summer Scholars Pre-College Program will admit a limited number of students for its Summer Scholars Program on a first-come first-serve basis with an emphasis on under-served students. Courses will be taught in mathematics, science, communications, and enrichment for middle and high school students.
