Programs of Study - Department of Mathematics

There are two pathways offered, traditional mathematics or mathematics with a concentration in statistics. Courses leading to licensure in secondary education in mathematics are offered through the education department. WSSU's program blends interrelated but distinctive aspects of mathematics: theoretical ideas and methods, modeling real-world situations, the statistical analysis of data, and scientific computing. The curriculum is designed to develop competence in each of these aspects of mathematics in a way that responds to the interests and needs of individual students as well as link them to the 21st century world they will face after graduation.

Current Course Descriptions: 2013 -2015
