Bio
Dr. Doron received his PhD and Masters from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and 2006, respectively. In 2002, he completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. Before joining WSSU, Dr. Doron taught at several colleges and universities in Texas, after a long career in the computer industry.
Research Interests
Dr. Doron's main research interests are the history of war and conflict in Africa, where he looks at how the political and diplomatic history of conflict has helped to shape the formation of identity and state-society relations, focusing mainly on the Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970). He is currently revising his dissertation to a manuscript as well as authoring several journal articles for imminent publication.
