The Technology Support Services unit of The Office of Information Technology consists of the Technology Support Center, Computer Lab Support, and Software Licensing. The Technology Support Center provides first level support for faculty, staff, and students at Winston Salem State University. There are several instructional and departmental computing labs available to the campus community, all of which are maintained by Technology Support Services, including the Academic Computing Center, an open lab co-located with the Elva Jones Computer Science Building. This is a full service computing facility, providing access to an array of productivity software and services. Technology Support Services also oversees university wide centralized software licensing as well as helps coordinate and negotiate the software licensing held by various departments.
The objective of Technology Support Services (TSS) is to enhance the productivity of the University community through effective and efficient technical support, commensurate with the human and fiscal resources of the institution. We achieve this by providing a customer focused single point of contact for professional, courteous customer service.
Technology Support Services will be recognized as the principal source for IT customer service and support at Winston Salem State University by fostering teamwork, leveraging technology with expert knowledge, and exuding professionalism, while providing assistance for the technological advancement of the University community.
