Web Support Services
Welcome to the newly formed Web Support Services (WSS) web pages. We are pleased to provide you, our clients, a variety of services which will facilitate the maintenance and development of the Winston-Salem State University website.
It is our goal to ensure the continued viability of the University web site in terms of the availability of relevant and accurate information, robust and reliable delivery, branded and appropriate design. It is the intent of the Web Support Services department to assist the contributors, editors, approvers, and content managers of the University to professionally deliver and maintain the content of the web pages of the University web site via tasks assistance, page maintenance, training, redesign, and by ensuring adherence to approved University branding and web design best practices.
Web Support Services within Information Technology provides professional leadership and guidance to the university community, works collaboratively with other groups such as the Office of Marketing to develop an integrated university web presence and ensures effective use of Internet standards and university branding. Web Support Services also provides support and training for the Cascade Server CMS that powers our public facing web site and manages the publishing of content via the Cascade CMS implementation at WSSU.

The Web Support Services group is still a work-in-progress, so please bear with us as we work through any issues. We hope you will agree that the services the WSS has to offer will greatly improve the look, accuracy and maintenance of the WSSU website.
In an effort to keep the campus community informed about our progress, the WSS will maintain this and other pages as a source of information about the groups services, progress, and the management of the University website. We welcome your input. Questions, feedback and comments regarding the web site should be directed to any member of the Web Support Services group via phone, email.
To secure the services of the Web Support Services group be sure to complete a RAMTech ticket. Please remember that all web project requests must be approved by the appropriate department head/chair or content owner, before submission to the Web Support Services (WSS). Following the instructions for submitting a Web Support Services ticket will ensure a timely and accurate response to your request. Upon completion of the RAMTech ticket a member of Web Support Services will contact you to discuss your project.
