Grandparenting Program - Services Provided

Respite. Caregivers are able to arrange short-term breaks from the demands of parenting. Nursing and Social Work Case Managers work with each family to arrange respite services.

Case Management. Onsite Social Workers/Case Managers assist families to obtain needed services such as, health care and other supportive services. They also provide their clients with education counseling, and referrals.

Caregiver Enrichment Seminars. Caregivers may participate in professional development and enrichment seminars such as computer classes, book clubs, quilting, health, and fitness.

Second Time Around Parenting. The Center provides parenting classes designed especially for relative caregivers.

Support Groups. Start on the second Thursday of each month and are held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.. During this time caregivers are able to engage in informal conversation with each other, for advise or general encouragement.

After-School Activities. The Center has a Lending Library and a Computer Lab that provide the youth with age-appropriate resources. These activities enhance their learning and school performance in a fun and stimulating way.
