Basic Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 21 years of age when sworn
  • 20/20 corrected vision
  • Good physical condition
  • Strong moral character
  • Have or be able to attain a valid North Carolina driver’s license
