WSSU to celebrate the Class of 2023 at Commencement on Friday, May 12

Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) will celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2023 at a Commencement Ceremony at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial (LJVM) Coliseum on Friday, May 12.

Commencement begins at 9:45 a.m., and doors to the Coliseum open at 7:30 a.m. Here's what you need to know.

SPEAKERS: Ms. Dyamond Carr ’23, President, SGA and Ms. Faith A. Parker ’22, Senior Class President, Class of 2022

TRAFFIC: Please be prepared for heavy traffic. We recommend allowing an additional hour for entry and parking.

WSSU to host author, actress Tabitha Brown in next Slater Speaker Series – ‘cause that’s our business’

Winston-Salem State University’s Slater Speaker Series, presented in partnership with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, will host author and actress Tabitha Brown. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17 at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem. It is free to attend; however, tickets are required.
