Dr. LaToya McNeill Wiley appointed as Interim Vice Chancellor for Financial Planning and Budget

Dear Ram Family,

I am especially pleased to welcome Dr. LaToya McNeill Wiley back to WSSU. Effective August 3, 2023, Dr. Wiley will serve as the Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Financial Planning and Budget. She is an impressive addition to my leadership team and will play an important role as we continue to strive for excellence and achieve the mission of our university.

Dr. Wiley is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management, budget operations, and business administration. Most recently serving as VP, Administrative & Fiscal Services at Roanoke-Chowan Community College, LaToya’s tenure includes over 13 years at WSSU contributing to the Budget Office, Controller’s Office, and Business and Auxiliary Services. LaToya also was the Assistant Controller and Bursar at UNC School of the Arts for 5 years. LaToya is a proficient analyst and servant leader with a passion for improving efficiencies through resource management.

Dr. Wiley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from NC A&T State University (1997), a Master of Business Administration degree from Winston-Salem State University (2006), and a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University (2021).
