Two important buildings located near the residence halls are Coltrane Hall which houses social, psychological, and behavioral sciences departments and C.E. Gaines Center and Whitaker Gymnasium home to women’s and men’s Rams basketball and volleyball.

DJR Student Activities Center

At the end of the tour you’ll probably want something to eat, so you can head back to the Donald J. Reaves Student Activities Center (DJR) to hit the food court.

While you are there check out the game room with pool tables and ping pong tables, fireplace in the lounge, the facilities offered from University Recreation (UREC) including a basketball court, indoor running track, workout facilities, and studios for group classes.

Albert H. Anderson Center

After lunch it’s time to head over to the Albert H. Anderson Center which has the ever-important Admissions Office.  Anderson is home to several departments including education, human service studies, and health, physical education and sport studies.

Your Health and Safety

Your health and safety are very important to us.  You’ll find the A.H. Ray Student Health Services tucked behind Anderson Center.  They offer health services, counseling, and pharmacy services.   The Campus Police and Public Safety building is located back near the campus core.  WSSU Campus Police work closely with the WSSU community to create strong bonds and build trust among everyone on campus.  They host informative and fun student-focused special events throughout the year.

There’s definitely more to the campus.  Make sure to check it all out at the WSSU Virtual Map.
