Biography
Dr. Glory T.O. Iluyomade is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management at Winston-Salem State University. She holds a Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA), a Master of Health Administration (MHA), and a bachelor’s degree with academic preparation in public relations and women’s health. Her teaching interests include healthcare management, population and community health, global health, healthcare administration, and grants management and writing.
Dr. Iluyomade brings multidisciplinary professional experience in healthcare administration, project and program management, healthcare technology and electronic medical record initiatives, consulting, marketing, and organizational operations. Her global healthcare experience includes an administrative externship at 37 Military Hospital in Accra, Ghana, where she worked alongside hospital leadership, military officers, and United Nations personnel to identify operational challenges and contribute to the implementation of administrative solutions designed to strengthen healthcare processes and service delivery.
For more than a decade, Dr. Iluyomade has led WOMAN (Women Organization for Minorities Achieving Now), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering minority women and girls through education, mentorship, service, sisterhood, and self-worth. Through WOMAN, she has developed and led charitable initiatives, youth enrichment and mentorship programs, college and career readiness activities, community service projects, and STEM and creative arts programming. Her nonprofit leadership has also included grant development and management, partnership building, program implementation, and the development of collegiate and community-based programming.
Dr. Iluyomade’s research focuses on comparative health systems, administrative capacity, and health equity, with particular interests in maternal health and healthcare delivery in the United States and West Africa. Her scholarship examines how healthcare system design, administrative processes, access, organizational capacity, and care delivery influence healthcare quality and equity among underserved populations. Her broader scholarly interests include developing global experiential-learning and research partnerships that connect healthcare management education with health systems in West Africa.
