University Postal Services

The University Post Office is a USPS contract station that provides both U.S. postal services and campus wide mailing at Winston-Salem State University.

The Post office Hub is conveniently located downstairs in the Thompson Center by the elevators in suite G09. Services offered include standard and premium mailing services, stamps and money orders. Standard USPS rates apply.

How early can I began sending mail or packages to my student for the academic year?

  • Please do not ship mail or packages more than one week before arriving on campus.

How do I address mail or packages to my student?

  • Student Name (first and last name)

    Mail ID# A0000 (this can be put in the apt/ste area)
    Winston-Salem, NC 27110
    A0000 = your student’s Mail ID#

Where is the post office located on campus?

  • The Mail Center is located on the ground floor of the Thompson Center, G09.

Do students keep the same Mail ID# all four years?

  • Yes, as long as the student lives on campus they will keep the same ID# and be able to utilize the Mail Center.
