Professional Development

The Staff Senate Professional Development (SSPD) fund is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible staff, in their pursuits of professional development activities related to current roles and responsibilities, or anticipated changes. The committee accepts applications from the first business day in August to the last business day in May, as long as funding is available.

In addition, the SSPD solicits advice from staff and supervisors in order to provide workshops designed to enhance the proficiencies and performance of staff, for the benefit of their respective departments and the University as a whole.

Requests submitted prior to the May 31, 2022 deadline will be reviewed.
