The Talent Acquisition Team is dedicated to assisting manager and search committees with hiring the most-qualified employees by:

    • preplanning staffing needs,
    • ensuring an effective interview process,
    • increasing WSSU visibility in the employment marketplace,
    • identifying the best and most cost-effective recruitment sources, and
    • conducting thorough reference checks.

In the interest of building effective and productive working relationships, the Office Human Resources provides support to departments/divisions by establishing and maintaining an intimate understanding of WSSU and the Office of State Human Resources policies and procedures.

The Talent Acquisition Team analyzes and reports measured results to provide ongoing oversight and support to effectively manage operations, identify and manage risks, and effect organizational change. We support personnel at all levels of the organization to provide comprehensive solutions to day-to-day personnel operations to include onboarding, identification updating, employment verification and separation. 

The Separation Workflow Process is a digital process that promotes accountability in the university's separation process by encouraging response to pending actions in a timely manner. All full-time employee and permanent part-time separations are processed via the Separation Workflow. Temporary employees, adjuncts and student employees who are separating prior to the end of their contract term are also be subject to the Separation Workflow Process.
