Details Steps for Taking Care of Your Bill


First view and accept your financial aid award offers. The Financial Aid Award Status page walks you through checking your award status, accepting your award, and completing your Loan Entrance Counseling and sign your Master Promissory Note. 

Please note that you must accept your award in order to receive it.  If you are new to WSSU, you must complete Entrance Counseling and the Master Promissory Note in order to receive funds.


Then pay the difference between your bill and your financial aid award. If your financial aid award is not enough to cover your expenses, you can take these steps:


Make a Payment 

  1. Log into Banner Rams Online: Student Services Dashboard > Student Services Dashboard.
  2. Click View Account & Statement. You will see the total balance due, estimated financial aid, and estimated remaining balance. 
  3. Click Make a Payment to make a payment. 
  4. Enter the amount you want to pay in the box, select Add
  5. Click on Continue. 
  6. Select the payment method and click Continue. Be sure to print or save a screenshot of the payment screen to keep for your records as your receipt.

Set up a payment plan using RAMPay

Review the details about the RAMPay plan. Set up your RamPay plan.


Make sure to enroll in or waive coverage for StudentBlue health insurance. All students are required to either waive or enroll for Student Blue Health Insurance.

Five important things to know:

  • Students must have some form of health insurance. If you have private health insurance through another carrier, then you must provide BCBS insurance company with proof of your coverage.  Then, the health insurance fee will be waived/credited. You must submit a waiver per term.  If you do not have insurance coverage, you will be enrolled in the insurance plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
  • Students are automatically charged for Student Blue (about $1128.28 per semester).
  • Students must enroll in or waive Student Blue coverage. If you do not have insurance coverage you must enroll in the insurance plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield. 
  • Students should visit the Student Blue .
